Eastern Europe and Russia
Opening of Altavia Rus in Moscow
In Russia the prospects for retailers are enormous and are attracting more and more international market participants such as IKEA, Auchan and Metro have successfully established a presence and effectively consolidated their development in the country, either by means of takeovers, as did Auchan with the Ramstore hypermarkets network (from Turkish company Migros Ticaret) or by gradually opening more new stores, as Metro has done.
It is in support of these players in the development of their businesses that Altavia opened Altavia Rus Rus in Moscow, at the end of 2010. The BU already serves the Real hypermarkets (part of the Metro group) and Shell hypermarkets, meeting their needs in terms of their marketing communications issues and problems.
Altavia follows the growth and innovation of retail in Eastern Europe
Since Altavia opened its business units in Poland and the Czech Republic at the beginning of the 2000s, it has continued to support the growth in the retail sector in these territories. After the expansion of its teams’ scope of activity into Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria, the group opened a new business unit in Romania: Altavia Romania, which has already won new clients. This augurs well for the development of the group’s operational activities in 2011.
